Hello! My name is Amanda Sills. Wife. Mother. Christian. Organizing Junkie and lover of all things 'green'. If you're here, you may want to know a little about me and my family. This is the short version. The long version is still in progress.
I started dating my wonderful (and funny) husband in 2006. We got married in 2007. That is the year I grew up. I think we learned 10 years worth of lessons in one year, seriously. And we grow closer together every year. He's a full time minister, full time husband, full time father. And I think he's amazing. When we married I consented to be talked about during his sermons and he consented to be talked about on my blog. Ahh...compromise.
After a year and a half together we welcomed, Isaac, aka "Mr.Face" into our family. He's the smartest person in the family and schools Rod and I on a daily basis. Next came Caleb, aka "Super Bubby" only 18 months later. They keep me busy but they've grown me a lot. I can't imagine life before Rod and my two little men.We currently live in Kentucky, although the people here keep calling us Hoosiers. I guess because we used to live 'across the river'. We have completely fallen in love with the Kentucky country side and the amazing people in Calhoun.
I get the opportunity to stay home with the munchkins. Every day is a lesson in becoming a more patient person while I wipe noses, read stories (over and over) and graciously dispose of bugs my 2 year old brings to me.

I started this blog last year. I wasn't sure I would like blogging but almost a year and a half later I can confidently say I love it! At 24, I'm sort of a newbie at everything. As I learn how to cook real foods, use cloth diapers, plant a garden, make a baby sling, and raise my children...you'll know about it because hopefully we can learn this thing called life together!
I hope you enjoy Organic Homemaking!
