He's so proud of what he accomplishes that I didn't want to simply stick his artwork in a folder. So some time ago, I went online to 'steal' ideas from other moms on how to display artwork. Some ideas were too complicated for me. They were wonderful but I need an easy solution. And here is what I adapted for our family. If you like 'easy' this may suite you as well!
Not the greatest pictures so bear with me. I didn't even edit them. Boo. I know.
I literally took a long piece of yarn and some colorful tacts and hung this up. I doubled the yard to make it sturdy and cut enough to hang six or seven pictures (depending on how you hang them). I used light cream Organic Cotton Yarn I've had sitting in my yarn basket for FOREVER. But you could use anything. Hemp might be a good option too.
I hung the pictures with clothespins but it seemed sort of plain for what I was wanting. Rod laughed at me for this. Whatever. I had fun...
Yes I decorated my clothespins. With scrapbook paper! It was the easiest alteration I've ever done! I simply cut out the size I needed and glued them on. Isaac played with several clothespins and the paper stayed on so it's fairly durable.
And that, ladies and gents, is how I display Isaac's artwork. He's never been more proud. :-) And mommy is proud I could make him happy! Hey, if I'm craft-challenged and I could make this....anyone can make it!
How do you display or save your children's artwork?
