Hello, hello! I can hardly believe almost a full week has gone by and I haven't consumed High Fructose Corn Syrup once! No sodas for me!
And I have to say, I feel pretty good as far as cravings go. There have been a few times I've wanted something sweet and I've drank a glass of water instead! I'm not sure where this discipline is coming from...At. All. Maybe I'm coming down with something...
It is amazing though how you can find things to eat that satisfy a want of sweet food without consuming bad sugars - or sometimes any added sugar at all! I found an all natural Almond Butter that doesn't contain added sugar. It's won-der-ful! And it's a shame that I would usually let my kids eat an apple while I would sip on a Dr. Pepper. Now I'm eating apples too.
We also buy Lifewater at Walmart. I'm not going to swear by them because they aren't technically 'organic' or even 'all natural' but they are sweetened with Stevia and I'm pro Stevia (again, in limited amounts). I'll do more research on them though before I say they are ok. I also haven't done 100%, top to bottom research on Stevia so I'll do that too and let you know what I think. Overall I've heard good things but, in my book, that just isn't enough!
Well, sorry this update is short. I have a little boy turning 3 on Monday and we're having a little party for him this afternoon. Ok, it started small and, like all Sills' functions, it has turned into something much bigger. Watch out...it's alive! So, I'm off to make food and set up decorations. All the good stuff.
